2025-2026
staff
Our GCC staff is made up of mature Christians who are not only educationally qualified, but see teaching young children as not just a job, but as a calling. We are blessed to have each an every one of them as part of the GCC family.

Amy Lussier
Director (mrsamy@genevacc.org)
Mrs. Amy has been with the Geneva Children's Center since 2016 and was promoted to Director in 2021 after the retirement of our founding director, Sherry Hoselton. Her leadership and enthusiasm combined with her formal education in Early Childhood Certificate is a key reason for the GCC's continued success. Mrs. Amy has been in the Early Childhood field for over 30 years! "I strongly believe that partnering with parents is paramount in a young child's education, "she says, "for that reason my door is always open!"
Ms. Tayna
Older Preschool Teacher
Ms. Tayna holds an AA degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching children age 2-6 for over 10 years. She is especially passionate about helping her students develop self-help skills which builds self-confidence. Ms. Tayna is fluent in Spanish and loves incorporating the language into daily activities. She has two children who are 5 and 14 years old. When she’s not at GCC, Ms. Tayna enjoys spending time with her children and going for walks on the beach.
Miss. Chris
Pre-K Teacher
Ms. Chris joined GCC in August of 2024 and is our amazing pre-k advantage teacher! She enjoys researching and learning about science and identifying engaging ways to bring it to the classroom. She loves spending time with family, especially her daughter, Morgan, and her two dogs, Sophie and Lila. Originally from the Mid-west, she wouldn’t trade California sunshine for a single snowflake! Ms. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and has completed extensive coursework in early childhood education.
It is an honor to be part of the educational journey of young children as they develop into independent thinkers. I am passionate about creating and designing meaningful learning opportunities because this is the heart of my work that allows children to excel and thrive as they prepare for kindergarten. Equally important is nurturing their social and emotional well-ness to lay the foundation to develop essential skills-Ms. Chris
Mrs. Clements
Teacher Assistant
Mrs. Clements has worked at GCC since 2017 where she assists in the classrooms in the classrooms and helps with cleaning, diaper changing and potty training. We are thrilled to have her. She has two children, six grandchildren and is an avid baseball fan always cheering on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Ms. Mimi
Teacher Support
Ms. Mimi has been teaching since 1984 and is currently working toward her Early Childhood Education degree. She has 36 units in ECE and is always looking for ways to professionally grow and learn more about our field. Ms. Mimi has worked with all ages but shares a special passion for two-year-olds as every day is a new adventure! When she’s not working you can find her at estate sales or thrifting with one of her eight children or at the park with her grandsons.
Mrs. Roni
Teacher Support
Mrs. Roni has been at GCC with us since 2018 and is recently back after taking two years off since becoming a mom. She has an AA in Child and Adolescent Studies from Cal State Fullerton and is one of our floating teachers who work with all of our children throughout the day. She lives in Irvine with her husband, Brendan, and daughter, Iris. When she is not
working with children, she enjoys video games, crosswords, and baking.
Mrs. Barb
Teacher Support
Prior to joining the GCC staff in June 2021, Barb Pierce worked at the Laguna Presbyterian Church preschool for 20 years! She has an art background and is especially fond of doing art projects with children. "GCC has been a wonderful place to come to with the supportive staff and of course the great kids!" she says. She enjoys time with her husband and adult son as well as gardening, cooking and art!
